This spell could possibly work, but with the lack of magickal feel to it and the noticeable lack of materials, it will probably be smaller and less fatal, and will only work in a state of powerful anger, which is then channeled into the spell. Basically, the spell could work, but it'll be weak. The effects on the victim will be effected by the emotions you feel while doing the spell. Sadness, happiness, or anything else won't cut it. You'll need anger. Once you have anger down, this spell should work well. However, don't expect them to die, no matter how strong your emotions are. Instead, the effects will probably range from the common cold to a small but noticeable injury, These are just my ideas. Feel free to correct me if you want
As MoonFury said, this could work if you focus enough negative energy. As for ''why don't more people do this'' it's a curse, not everyone agrees with curses. Everyone has their own moral code, and depending on the person's morals, they may not agree with curses. Personally, I will curse someone who has done harm to me, but I won't curse someone because they cut me off in traffic, or was rude at work. Other people refuse to curse someone even if they're a murderer. Some will curse because they're bored. You should figure out for yourself what you're okay with before you cast. Curses require a ton of negative energy, and this negative energy can affect you, even if you cast correctly, so knowing if you agree with it before you're in a state of rage is wise.
