Assume that it doesn't.

As ridiculous as this chant sounds, it has the potential to work. With enough negative energy, you can hex someone with a chant, even one as a simple as ''I curse you.'' Think of the person, a picture would be helpful, and focus your hatred on them. As your anger grows, begin chanting. The more you chant, the more energy you charge. Keep chanting until you feel ready to scream, and end the chant. You could say so mote it be or another phrase to end the chant. You could also do something physical to release it such as stomping your foot or clapping your hands. I would rework this chant, but with enough intention, it could bring misfortune to your target.
