My husband and I do medieval re-enactment. I'm particularly interested in fiber arts, so I do spinning and weaving as well as several forms of medieval embroidery. I'm also an avid quilter.

I used to write poetry, and had some work published.

I haven't written seriously in several years now. There is really no reason to it. Drive.

I began embroidering a few years back, but have come to the point I need new supplies. I may look for more in time. There are other priorities at the moment.

Sewing I enjoy very much. Even if only to fix garments that need a few stitches, I find this sustainable and a wonderful skill to have. I recently modified a dress into a jumpsuit, removed the sleeves and added puff sleeves that matched a color on the patterned fabric. It is incredibly tight and needs adjusting. I do plan to learn how to fix or adjust this, properly. In good time.

Another hobby I have is Summer sailing off the coast. I am there with family, and I have been learning to navigate the sail boat.

Aside from that witchcraft as well as a deep spiritual practice for me, is something I truly enjoy, and for this I do consider it a hobby.

My main time sink is video games, some of my favorites being DarkSouls, mech warrior 5, and star citizen (though my system can't run it any more... I need some serious upgrades)

Outside of that is tabletop rpg's, casual writing and world building, and lately reading Sherilyn Kenyon and Jim Butcher.

I used to downhill ski every winter when I lived in the mountains, but now I camp on occasion, bowl, design random things with scrap wood and such, and I recently completed a maille shirt which has me trying to come up with some designs to turn it into a full harness.

Hmm, hobbies?
I like to crochet sometimes and weave coil baskets, it's really calming and they're both fun, productive ways to settle down after a tiring day.
I also like to dance with a rope dart (A heavy object on a dart, originally used in chinese martial arts but now used mostly for dancing) but I don't dance with it as much as I used to.

I also like to draw and I'm taking a liking to drawing environment designs recently. most of the time when I draw it's digitally but I sometimes like to doodle with my pens or sketch in my small sketchbook.
I also like writing stories but I've never really finished any of my bigger projects.

But most of the time I watch youtube while thinking I should do all my other hobbies xD.
Youtube is just so addicting lol.

I didn't a lot of writing, in regards to my practices, and would like to get few things published and turn my hobby into career. I've been debating on contacting Llewellyn Publications about it but I'm not sure if I should.

I also make dreamcatchers, oil pastel drawings, and most recently I started working on creating wands and staves. I have an over abundance of bones and other objects that I'd like to do something with, thus, I've started putting together some really lovely ritual tools.

I do quite a bit of crochet and cross-stitch too.

Mis.

I think you should definitely consider trying to have your works published. Personally speaking I don't feel there is enough out there book wise on topics related to traditional and folk witchcraft practices. Even many now that are folky in nature have underlying Wiccan influence. Not that I mind Wicca. I don't at all. It was a Wiccan practitioner that turned me onto the path of traditional witchcraft, and supported me and put up with my endless rants and questions.

I'd simply love to see more writers with a traditional perspective.

Speaking of practice related writings, I started two books of shadows a few months back more geared for a public audience sort of written like a book with little illustrations. One is regarding hedge craft and hereditary Catholic witchcraft and the other is a hedge and cottage witchcraft manual. They are small books, not the easiest to write in, but I have been relatively dedicated to writing in them. I doubt very much I'll have them published. Just a hobby. I do write daily, yet I no longer write much in the way of poetry. I simply process my emotions differently now.

Well, I don't consider witchcraft a hobby, but I know some do. Personally, I write. I've got 4 complete novels, and I'm working on a 5th. I'm hoping to get them published one day [I tried in my teens. Got some encouraging hand-written rejection letters, I'm just not looking forward to building a social media presence] I also cook and bake. While I live in an apartment, I've always loved gardening, so I have a few plants. I'm also interested in beekeeping. I've studied that for years, even enjoy honey tastings, which sounds odd. Anime is another big passion of mine [if you haven't watch Ancient Magus Bride, I love the world, the art, the music, the story... minus the reason they met... love it] I also study history, philosophy and music. [basically any genre, but folk has been my go-to for the past several years]

Other than that I play games like Story of Seasons [formally Harvest Moon] and Genshin Impact. Never played Animal Crossing, but I can see myself loving it. I enjoy farming sims [I just discovered my lifestyle has been recently dubbed "cottagecore" which is neat, I've always called it "Victorian teaparty" lol]
