Then throw offerings into the ocean.

Disclaimer: Do not expect a flesh-and-blood mermaid to appear, it won't happen.

If you wish to work with astral mermaids because you believe in them, this can work as a way to connect with and worship those energies, but if you are expecting The Little Mermaid to swim up and start talking to you, it will not happen. Sea Witchcraft, and those who work with mermaids work with water spirits, not physical mermaids.

Thank you for finally making this clear to people. I’m a sea witch and people think I’m a “mermaid” when I tell them this. I might work with sea spirits but that does not mean I’m a mermaid or sea spirit

This will not summon a mermaid and come into your house although if you wish you can work with astral mermaids in your craft
