Demon trapping

Post # 1
I need someone to show me how to trap a demon. I’m being haunted by Asmodeus. I can make him leave temporarily, but he always comes back. So, I think trapping him would be the answer.

If you have to ask how to trap a spirit that that sounds like your not powerful enough to trap a spirit. If you can get him to leave "temporarily" then put up protections after he's gone, if it even is him. I mean, protection spells are like "basic" it's like one of the first things you learn.

Trapping a demon doesn't sound like a good idea anyway. What would you do with it after that? Just lock it away forever? That'd probably just make it quite angry.

On another note, I always wondered how people can trap something and other people are still able to summon/interact with it. It doesn't make much sense unless there are infinite manifestations of entities or something wild like that.

Some cursory research into Asmodeus labels him in a small handful of ways. A demon associated with lust mainly, but also as the king of the jinns. There are also hints of him being associated (loosely) with vengeance. The latter seems to be surmised because he is depicted to breathe fire, and shares associations with animals often linked to revenge.

My main take-away though, is that Asmodeus is a higher-order demon and functions as a lord or king. As such, unless someone deliberately works to invoke such a being it is pretty doubtful that he would take interest in a 'mundane' activity like a haunting. Basically, people like you and me would be beneath his attention without some sort of instigation.

So this tells me one of two things is happening;

First thought, you actively invoked Asmodeus into your space and attempted (successful or not) to get him to do something for you or to provide something to you. If this is the case, consider carefully what deal you tried to strike and what payment was offered. Make that payment and the deal will be completed, with no more reason to remain he would leave. Or, if it was an attempt to command or will him to a task by authority alone, you need to dismantle and release the binding which is probably pulling him back, make reparational offerings (and hope he is mollified/appeased) and bid him go in peace.

Scenario two, the haunting entity is not Asmodeus but rather some other being that either shares the name, or is trying to use the demon's name to be more intimidating. Either way it means you have less to worry about than you may think. As it is not a demon lord but something .... simpler. In either event a cleanse and clear should indeed be enough. Just do it thoroughly. Cleanse yourself, cleanse your space, remove the entity as you have done before, then barr its return by creating a threshold to your home and actively revoking its return.

Instead of trying to figure out how to get rid of this entity, you should first spend some time contemplating what is bringing it to you. Then remove that first. It is like one of those paddle-ball toys, you can use the wooden paddle to slap away the rubber ball as hard as you want. But unless you break the elastic connecting the two together it'll just get pulled right back again.

My comment may not be the most helpful, but I see that other people are replying as well.

I once thought I was being haunted by Asmodeus and I just want to say, after seeing him and hearing more about him, I believe it was a trickster pretending to be Asmodeus. I'm saying this because I too was very sure it was Asmodeus for some reason, but he doesn't seem like he would do what I thought he was doing to me. other people have told me "that's Asmodeus haunting you" but I know for a fact that it was an imposter because of personal experiences and my best friend who is a former Satanic high priest.

Sorry if I sound like I'm dissing you; I really enjoy the company of Asmodeus and don't want to see people trying to trap him.

Merry Meet,

I agree with everything Spirit76 said. BlackSun777's claims that Asmodeus was wasting his time with something so trivial, it was not something he would do. Either you contacted him, or it is a lesser being trying to trick you. Do not feel bad you were tricked, it is common. The more you grow on your path, the easier it gets to figure them out. The better you get with sensing energy, the better you will be at knowing the difference between a member of the Ars Goetia and a trickster spirit.

If you summoned him, somehow, and made a deal with him, you need to complete the agreement. Demons, especially a member of the Ars Goetia will not do something for free. If you got what you asked for, you need to pay him back and until you do, enjoy your new roommate.

Since it is more likely a trickster spirit, cleanse your home and yourself. This is the perfect time to do it, most Witches do their cleansing as part of their spring cleaning. Clean your home, throw out what does not serve you, then cleanse your home and protect it. Same for yourself. Have a cleansing bath and cast a protection. While you are at it, your phone, car and anything else that might need protection. That will get rid of the spirit and protect you from future harm.

Blessed Be.
