This is a topic I've been wanting to discuss for a while. Feel free to add your own thoughts, experiences, suggestions, etc.
Magical burnout happens to the best of us. At one time or another we may have found ourselves at a crossroads. We feel stuck, so to speak. Maybe you're feeling run down or a general lack of energy or interest when it comes to spell and ritual work? Perhaps your spells just aren't working the way they used to? Perhaps you just feel drawn away from magic, in general?
When I get like that, I feel it's a good idea to take a break from magic and give yourself a moment to breathe. This does not mean that you should stop and never practice magic again, it just means that you may need to take some time for yourself. Hang up the broom, smother the fire in your cauldron, and set the wand aside.
Focus on getting yourself grounded and centered. Take some time to enjoy the little things in life. Take a walk in the park. Spend time with family. Write out your thoughts and feelings. Setting up a spa day for yourself can also help. Light some candles and some incense and take some time to soak in a bubble bath and relax.
Now, this isn't something that usually fixes itself over night. It can take time for us to get back into the flow of things with magic and spellwork. If you feel you're ready, however, start small. Do a small protection spell or make yourself a good luck charm. Test the waters. Do things seem to be back to normal or do you need more time to rest up and relax?
You'll get back into the swing of things in time. Do not rush yourself and take the time you need to find your center again!
