I was wondering if there were possibly any more effective ways for casting healing spells, or if there were herbs or incense that are better than what I currently do. ( I currently do crystal meditation)

Yes, you can use the herbs or incense within the crystal meditation you already do to try to "boost" what you are already doing. Both are wonderful tools to use, particularly if they are geared towards the particular kind of healing you need. (Some research will be necessary for this.) But unless you intend to apply the herb directly to the affected area, it should be very helpful.
Just double check your sources and if you can ensure the herb won't work against what you want to do. For instance, if it stimulates the immune system, you won't necessarily want to use it on a healing spell for someone with an autoimmune disorder.

There are indeed many techniques out there that you might study to supplement what you already practice. Reiki and crystal energy working tend to work well together, as does sound therapy. Ayurveda, herb-craft, massage therapy, and even a bit of psychology training can all be good ways to compliment yourself into a more wholistic practice.
Find all the correspondence charts you can, write them all down in your Book of Shadows. Find out what goes together for optimum healing power. Sometimes you can find charts that you can look up by the affliction or purpose eg wealth, love, anxiety etc. Google is a wonderful thing.
What you're doing now sounds effective: is there a reason you are searching for a more effective way? Have you grown tired of your old way, curious for a new way, or has the way you've used suddenly no longer worked?
I agree with whatever else has said (though I did have to google what Reiki is. I must say, it sounds amazing. I have to try that sometime). Everything they mentioned would give your current method a boost.
I'd like to add another simple boost, a kinda strange technique I use, but repeating the same phrase every time you are about to preform a healing ritual. I used to lack when it came to healing, so I started repeating the same simple phrase every time I heal, "You will be well." It's simple, quick, and helps me focus in not only on healing someone but that I can do it, discarding any worries or panic that could be holding me back. Of course, you should pick your own phrase, or other ritual to preform before healing. A simple sign, a movement, thought, or anything that grounds you in the moment can really help you focus on your healing, which in turn can give your effectiveness a boost!
I hope that helped! If you're looking for an entirely new method, I have a few completely different indirect methods, and I'm sure I could pull up a more direct one for you if you want!
It's quite simple really, and quite the powerful feeling, though in reality a finger, any stick, even just pretending has the same effect.
The trick is to use the wand a tight projection of will, you're desire is concentrated, precise, and even feels a bit more witchy (which does wonders to the atmosphere, which aides the strength of your intent)
There are so many different forums here on SoM, and it's so easy to get lost (I've already gotten lost once today XD oops). There are many sections for beginners or beginner questions for things like, how do I find the right wand, what size or style should I pick, how should I start learning wand magic, and so forth. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can always make a new thread to ask your question. This helps your chances of your question being answered, and on topic, and by someone who clicked on your thread knowing the answer, just so they could answer you.
Now, I am very general with my wand, as I never really focused on the "manners" of using a wand (it never occurred to me to truly research, since I was always told that it was simply an extension of will). I did some research, and some people really do take their wands seriously. Perhaps you're the type of person who wants to? Try this thread. It's long, but it's a good read, and wow, there are so many variations!!! Who knew?
