The largest following of Pagan/Wiccan in the world is in the USA.
The Headquarters of the International Pagan Federation is in Florida!
The largest Wicca coven in the world is The Covenant Of The Goddess, in California.
One of the Founder members of Wicca is Maxine Sanders, the widow of Alex Sanders, and she regularly visits the States to give talks on Wicca. (Yes, a few of the original Founders are still alive!)

I have always gone with the whole "if they don't ask, don't tell them" approach. So far it has kept me from having many issues and debates over my practice. It is wonderful that your standing up for yourself when you need to ^_^

@ iRane same here. my other wiccan friends have been more boisterous and it's gotten them into hot water.

keep in mind, many people still think we're evil devil worshipers here to destroy there perfect wholesome way of life. try as you might, they probably won't change, so i go for the path of least resistance. i know it might be harmful, and some may argue i'm giving in to bullies, but if someone asks, i'll tell them. my co-workers were asking each other about faith and asked me, i said 'Wiccan' one of my co-workers asked what it was and before i could answer the other cut me off with 'just devil worship.' luckily i could explain, i've never gotten anything negative from it, but i was stunned for a second.

Becareful. There are crazy people out there who can do very violent things in the name of their religion. Saying you're pagan is one thing, but I would definitely refrain from bringing up magick practise in any way. Hate crimes occur everyday, and I do my best to not become apart of those statistics.

I live in the other side of the world ( muddle east ) and the only we believe in is black magic the one associated with dark spirits and souls. The reason why believing in only that type of magic is because it is mentioned in our holy book. I truly believe you can take magic up in any form you want, but if you speak about it where I live its either you are a demon or a bad soul that should be washed away. The worst part is that people here don't know how black magic can effect you and people surrounding you badly, they practise it as a daily prayer ritual and it get live really complicated . I am a victim and I don't know how to get rid of all the negative energy pulled towards me, failing love story and bad karma. Bullying in my area is sentimental rather than physical .. you r pretty strong to face a whole community on ur own ...

You're still young, Eliryana, a lot of children only still know about the Christian faith. I'm a Catholic myself, but I also blend in Paganism as well (it is what I am most comfortable with). Once you get into high school, you'll see a little more diversity of religions and when you hit college, you'll see an even larger diversity of religions. Most of my friends are athiests, but when I was younger, I knew mostly Christians.

I live in Texas too.
