Demons don't "attach" to people. Most of the time it is something called a thoughtform and those are typically, unconsciously created from the negativity in one's life. Ever heard people talk about bottling one's emotions? That's the basic principle of it.
Now, what I would recommend doing is a cleansing meditation with some sage around you. This meditation, is one that I have found and I have seen the results of it first hand.
Find a calm and relaxing environment where you wont be interrupted. I would recommend cutting off any electronics because the notifications can become distracting. Then once your in a peaceful area focus on relaxing. Once you are fully relax begin to visualize a white ball of light. Once you have the light visualized, if you notice any imperfections begin to focus on cleansing it with the light.

If the demon attached a person from 8 years is possible to be very hard to removed it,can I ask what type of demon?Anyway,a banishing spell is possible to work but I think more banishing spells will be good (did by a skill witch,my suggestion).Also you can try to make him feel more peaceful after did the spells,a cinnamon tea will work for a peaceful dream,yoga etc.Another method wil be an exorcism but how I said can be hard to removed a demon from a person which was attacked by it for 8 years.Good luck!
