I had something weird happen last night,I have also decided
to start working with the Lwa and was clearing out as room to set up a Legba shrine and I had to hooks laid on a table in another room and was moving stuff out of the room I was going to set up my Legba shrine in and at one point I turned around and looked for them on a table I had them on and what I saw instead of them laying there on each other was a small snake then I jumped back and looked again and instead of a snake I saw those two hooks.
Yes i cleared it out the room swept it,even did a purification ritual.
Something I have noticed when using divination with stones I use for divining a yes or no answer,is that sometimes the stone that would indicate no has a tendency to shoot right off the altar I have devoted to Papa Legba like someone swiped their had across the alter top sweeping the stone that indicated no right off the altar living the yes stone and the indicator stone on the table.
Papa Legba is the gatekeeper to the Lwa. He must be treated with respect. Have you tried making a cup of coffee on the altar? Try some vodka. It's his favorite drink.
I heard he hates vodka, offer him another drink. Also, may be a sign of Damballa. Perhaps your Loa isn't him and its Damballa, or you are worshipping him wrong.
Everyone has Papa Legba he is the first Lwa one must serve I offer him Vodka he likes Vodka Papa Danballah is a Lwa very old the oldest of all the Lwas he made the first Houngan and Mambo he is all about purity but that doesnt mean Papa Damballah is with you only a Reading can determine that
As far as offerings to Legba/Eshu go: candy, coffee, spiced rum, black rum, cigars, cannabis, chicken, toasted corn, and spicy foods are customary. You might want to lay out some offerings for Legba and just ask him for a more clear explanation of whats going on. I hope this works for you!
