If you are new, you probably don't know how to successfully cast a spell and so they are likely to fail.
Before spell casting, it is generally recommended to learn a good foundation of knowledge, this knowledge can improve the chances of spells succeeding, there are some good forums that can help you get started:

Hearthwitch has good advice. It also takes practice and experimentation. What works for one person won't always work for another. I use Transformers in my rituals (Insert lecture about Modern God Archetypes here) and get some pretty funky results with them. I can't however, use Norse gods because we're just not compatible.
Can you space your words out please? That was annoying to read =/ You can get knowledge and experience by lots of studying and then applying what you have learned.
If you're new to magick, most will recommend that you learn The Basics before anything else. This differs from person to person, but I consider the basics to be meditation, visualization, grounding, shielding, etc.
There are some decent posts that are pinned at the top in the General Info section in the forums, and Google has lots of pdfs.
The onlyvway spells work is that you learn to properly direct you intention into he universe while you cast the spell and direct the energy you raised learn to raise energy is key to it also you need to learn how to ground center and sheild as well as visualize before you learn to cast spells or its going through motions and do sent work some time people need to use certain emotions as e energy to cast a spell of a certain intent link happiness for positive anger for negative or feel highly certain it will work for all intents
