Another thing that you or anyone can do is create a new folder, when your mail gets to about 70 transfer the mail in your default folder to your new folder. This is something I do and it works.
The mail limit is reached when an account sends the allotted number of mails per hour allowed for their type of account. Coven leaders and other positions on the site have higher mail limits due to the nature of their positions compared to regular members. If you can no longer send mail and have gotten the mail limit reached message you have exceeded the number of mails per hour for your account. This temporary hold on your mail will be lifted in about one hour. If you try to send more mails before the hour is up the wait time will be reset and you will have to wait at least another hour before your account can send mail messages again. It is possible to have this function effect an account over and over if you do not reduce the amount of mail you send in a one hour time period. Also to set the record straight, an account will never be gagged for reaching a mail limit no matter how many times it is reached.
both of my other accounts have hit their message limits, and my old one hit its limit just under a year ago and hasnt reset. with my new account, the one before this one, apparently the message limit means the chatter work either, shouldnt the chatter stll work with the limit? its not getting stored anywhere and if im not on the launch it deletes the old messages from the chatter anyways.
people frequently talk about mail limits, never happened to me and i've been a member 10 years. how many messages do you have? if there's something important, make a folder for said person or message and move it, if it's not, delete. depending on how much mail you get you might need to delete once a week [i go through things once a month] you can also, after replying, hit back, then delete the message so you stay on top of stuff.
