I've been looking a bit into these, but its hard to find webpages that aren't World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy related. But from what I've recently seen they're normally element related? Sword, Spear, Bow, Cauldron, Dagger (Athame?), Wand, ect. I was wondering what you guys new about 'em and if you had any input.
Well the reasons your finding them in "World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy" is because that's were they belong... in fantasy, things such as wands only truly act as guides or stimulants to the mind. They don't hold any special power of their own.
"Celtic legends" are like super old, anything as old as Celtic anything, has many ...many false beliefs mixed in with the truth... if any that it once possessed.
Anything can be charged with energy and even retain it. How much? Depends on the item as much as the user. For some I think a brick would do as much good as a wand. For others they may as well be a brick holding a wand, sceptre, athame, etc. You're tools and weapons are as special as you make them and the closer you keep them the more real they become as extensions of your practice. I have a simple wand, and a simple altar. No chalice. No athame. I get by just fine, but when I feel ritualistically inclined, I usually just go for the whole thing in AP.
On another note, try and name something...anything in the world that is not element related. Lol. I'll cut you short. Everything is affected directly or inderectly by the elements. It's the realization of how it's affected by the element that makes it a useful tool. Sometimes just the provocation of thought from said affection is, in itself, a useful tool.
try going to a church, asking thier god politely if you can keep some of the energy they people are sending to him.
if he says yes, take the energy they throw up during singing and praying, and if your church has alot of peopel, say 1k+ people, you have a weapon that can cut through most astral beings like butter.
