ya it did to me you just have to visualize the energies going to that part of your body that needs to be cooled down

Ground your energy. If you wish to focus on chakra specific energy, it should still work. This would take practice, and do not expect something dramatic. It would be like a cool breeze on a hot day. It will cool you a little bit, but not forever.
