place the eyewear or jewelry in the container, fill the container halfway full of water, next pour the oil into the container the oil should float

ok now I have oily jewelry what now???? mom is gonna be mad that i got her favrite necklace oily and she;s gonna be home in twenty minutes please help I couldn't see the future on this one.
