You don't necessarily need a wand to do magick.

However you will need to know how to carve from a branch, and you need the tree's spiritual permission. The type of tree depends on the type of magick.

Making wands is such fun. It requires the permission of the tree and as was said by elementwitch.

I collect driftwood and make them. I decorate them all different depending on what they are used for. I really enjoy the work and I think this puts positive energy into my wands.

I made my wand by actually finding a branch on the ground. I did a ritual consecration that came naturally. I used all of the elements as well as a bit of my own blood to give my dead branch a new life as my magick accomplice. Then I let it charge under the full moon.
This is just how I made mine, and it is my first, and as of now, my only. :D

I don't have a wand, and moreover I don't need one.

But it would be cool to swing it around everywhere and yelling out, "EXPECTOPATRONADZ!", or "ABLABA KEBRAVA!!!!111" and pronouncing every other HP spell wrongly. =P Lol.

i like my wand just because its so damn pretty !
