In the same way that lifting weights can make you stronger, practicing magic can increase you ability to do magic. There is not, however, a magic spell that will instantly make you powerful. Also, just like with physical exercise, if you do not do it correctly you will not receive the benefit from it. Or, at least not the most benefit that you could get.

Shawn explained it wonderfully. I do not usually call magick "power" but with building yourself up from the rock bottom from the basics then yes you could consideryou are making yourself a more 'powerful' user in magick, I would rather call it an experienced user because the word power here is often misused, every single step you are becoming more experienced, but as stated if done correctly.

It really depends on your definition of power and how you use it.Magic requires both a sound mind and body.

Well as mentioned above it depends how you define power, working out will increase your strength and in a way give you power, as will studying and outwitting others can be powerful. Expecting magick to be powerful enough to, say, shoot lightning from your fingers, no. You can in theory cast a spell to find a job, a spell to increase courage, a spell to pay off your debts, find a house, get a lover, not get sick, get a promotion, and basically live a 'perfect' life, but if you know about magick you would also know spells can fail for many reasons. Constantly casting for every little bump in the road can leave you drained, you've cast contradicting spells, or the universe has other plans for you. Over all, magick can be seen as power, but to quote Spider-Man with great power comes great responsibility.

Then there is steroids and those make you very powerful for a few years until you die, so any spells you come across on the site that "enhances magickal powers" can be looked on as the same way or fluff.

I agree with everyone above.

Magick in some sense is nothing more than the vibrations, frequencies, and energy flow of the entire universe. So becoming more powerful would mean becoming adept in using and becoming attuned these energies and frequencies with relativeease and efficiency. I wouldnt go as far as to say youll become so powerful even governments would fear you, however, stronginfluence among the natural world, as well within your personal life can be obtained with practice, patience, knowledge, wisdom, and experience.

While I agree with the previous posts, I do want to mention that some of these empowerment spells are not fluff. They are not meant to grant you magical powers or bestow abilities on you that you don't currently have and could not naturally gain. Some of them are just preparation basically.

I use one that I believe is called an empowerment spell, but I only use it in preparation for when I am going to cast a bigger spell afterward that I know will sort of drain me or take a lot of energy. It's basically just a different form of meditation though. I use it to center myself and get in touch with all of my energy and sort of concentrate it. It doesn't grant me special abilities or powers or anything, but it just helps me personally with casting.

But to reiterate, anything that does claim to grant special abilities or powers, is nothing more than fantasy.

It is part of the human experience of existing on this level of constantly propagated, concrete concepts to try to set things in stone or at least in well classified categories. Knowing them on this level, gives you an edge of the survival game. However, what is advantage in the survival game might become weakness, which stirs seismic waves into someones subconscious and creates tsunami waves in their mental and emotional well-being. From one side, it is a power created from instability, but human soul seeks its source, which is epiphany of stability and love. As the inner eye's focus shifts a power can be weakness and weakness can be power because the truth is in the eye of the beholder. Then, in the lens of perception comes the Will. Your knowledge, experiences and ability to see a situation on many levels from different angles change your magic and the focus of your inner eye. Emotions and mental state shape its expressions and your Will navigate them through the endless passages of cosmic energetic web. Your magic is a direct result of all you are on all levels in a given moment of time and space, which has been fixed by your inner focus of perception and secured there by your Will. However, your magic cannot be what you are not. Your Will will never develop properly, if you see things static and well defined because you are blindsided by what your brain constructs as reality. When your own reality is in process of braking down the Will wakes up. It shines light on impossible concepts, but it also creates shadows in the world of just four dimensions. Weak Will seeks power in Magic, but your magic is direct expression of what you are on all levels. Strong Will seeks challenges in magic and transform darkness in light just by finally realizing its true nature. True power comes from inside out, and it naturally links to powerful things/forces in other dimensions. Power and weakness are the two sides of the same coin and which side you are on depends of your state of existence and perception. Same can be said for knowledge and wisdom. However, if you set yourself on the path of magic to seek only power(because you perceive less within yourself) you will only find challenges that can build the required powerful Will. True power requires exceptionally strong Will to be handled, before it destroys everything human within you. Yes, you are a soul trapped still in cage of flesh, and thus living the physical human experience. As such, you are limited being bound by the laws of physical existence.

Additionally, we all are bound by our perception of ourselves, which has been installed within us by the world and others. Powerful Will sets itself free, when the time is right and fixates itself also when the time is right as well. That is where knowledge and wisdom come into perspective to know when to stop and fixate your inner perception within yourself and when to just let go and flow on all levels at same time. Like in real battle timing is important.

In short, everybody can give you their truth on the question, but how much that will reflect inside you and change your inner world and truth, depends on you. We are all travelers on the same journey. It is just some of us are more ahead and some are starting now. We are all here for the ride.
