Losing Touch with Magick

Hi everyone, I have received several messages today on varying social media in regards to what people can do to get back in touch with magick.

I know from personal experience that it can be horrible to feel yourself drifting away from the craft, whether that is due to a busy life or a loss of magickal drive. I have been through this and I know many others have also, so I am going to offer up a few ideas as to what you can do to help get back in touch with magick and add it a little more of it into your life.

~ Visit somewhere magickal, whether that is an occult store, a holistic fair or a magickal location like Glastonbury.

~ Find people in the physical world who have the same interests, look out for local covens or societies that you can get in contact with, or find someone with a similar path that you can befriend in the real world.

~ Fill your life full of magickal items, I personally surround myself with crystals, pentacles, chalices, incense and candles. Surrounding yourself with magickal items may increase your interest in the craft and make you more likely to use them.

~ Read, read and read some more, the more you read about the craft the more know and the more you can do, you may find something new that attracts your interest and gets you back into the craft.

~ Wearing magickal symbols like the pentacle can really help, I wear a pentacle daily and have never felt more magickally enclined than I do at the moment.

I hope these ideas really help you, It is horrible to feel disconnected to something that we all love so much. If anyone wants to add more to this list then please do, it would be amazing to find out what everyone else does to reconnect with magick.

Blessed Be
Arabella.

I have also felt this way and my craft just gets lost in busy everyday life.

I started re writing my book of shadows when I felt this way and I also found new types of magic I could do to fit around a busy schedule. So candle magick, I always have candles on in corresponding colours to what I feel I need. Knot magick is quick and simple the same as with sigils.

Thank you for this post!

Great post -
This happens to me a lot, especially now with the semester wrapping up and having to work on a bunch of projects at once. I try to read or write about anything that at least gets me to think about magic or otherwise do a simple card reading when I can.

I am actually glad that this is a thing. I haven't done anything magic related in awhile, but I have a few opportunities coming up to sharpen my witching skills. :)

I used to be able to read dreams. It would guide me through life so easily but know i lost that ability. I think its because im growing older and losing some things and gaining others.
