Sue was a fellow Wolverine like myself. Our stomping grounds were mutual, and we often talked about The Homeland in fondness.
For her to seemingly go so suddenly leaves many people confused, hurt, left without words, and many times we are left thinking of our own mortality.
Many people live and die each day, but the people who leave the biggest ripples in the pond are those who leave behind a name that resounds with love, compassion, fond memories, learning experiences, selflessness, and wisdom when spoken with others in mourning.
It's bittersweet for me to return to this site and reconnect with old friends, only to find out that I have lost one at the same time. My only regret is that I never got a chance to reconnect with Sue before she passed, but I believe she's onto more important, special, and interesting things as it is.
Let us remember her name, and everything that she did for each of us personally, and the site as a whole.
Cattle die, kindred die,
Every man is mortal:
But the good name never dies
Of one who has done well
Cattle die, kindred die,
Every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
The glory of the great dead
This is shocking news! I remember seeing her online here when I started out seven years ago in the SoM community.
I didn't know her well, but there were times we chatted with the others in the public chat. I'm sure she was great to the heart of SoM, just like the other Mods have been!
To all of you who felt close to her, she's still here just in another form we cannot understand. I can't believe this! But, the poem is beautiful.
Sue was a Mama bear around here, had such a sweet heart and sharp wits. I'm glad I got to know her, even if only online. She was a really cool person... My heart goes out to her family and other loved ones....
I charted with Sue a couple of times, she was and is a great person. She is in a better place, I don't want to mourn her passing, but I would like to rejoys the time I have known her.
