Looking for Wiccan Mentor By: RueGreer Dec 28, 2014
Post # 1
I've been a wiccan for the past three years, but I've never really started my journey. I'm only interested in White Magick, and I try to stay away from Dark Magick. I am also interested in becoming a healer of some sort. I would like to help the sick, and give good fortune to the ones who need it.

Wicca is not so much about magic,as about religious beliefs. Some Wiccans do cast spells, but not all of them! And there is no such thing as White magic; there is only magic!
There are many books about Wicca; you do not need a mentor.

Another issue is that if you are not legally an adult it would be against the law for any adult to teach you about Wicca, which is a religion not a magical practice, without the express consent of your parents. So it is unlikely that you are going to find a teacher unless you are over the age of 18.
That being said, there is some information you might find useful in the threads at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=580909 And you might also want to read the thread at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=637268
While I do not teach on-line I will answer specific questions if you have them. I've been a practicing Wiccan for some 30 years and a High Priestess since 1996.

If you are more interested in magick [which magick is intent not colour so you know] then perhaps you should look into spellwork and not specifically Wicca. But if you want to learn more on Wicca as you feel it is your path, there's a bunch of books and articles [look at the pinned threads in this section] which can help. When I have a moment I'll mail you a list of books.
