Do summoning spells work?

Do summoning spells really work? May you give me examples of times you used a summoning spell and it worked ?

It depends on your definition of summoning spells. A summoning spell in reference to calling on spiritual or energy beings can work, but you can't summon a physical object or entity to you.

Yes, a summoning spell can work, but they are not for beginners. They are generally saved for the advanced practitioner and will not work in a movie style fashion.

When summoning a spirit be it a dragon guide, ancestor spirit, spirit familiar/fetch or anything else you will not physically see something magickally appear in front of you. It is more of a spiritual presence that you will feel or sense. If you were to summon a dragon spirit for example, you will not suddenly have a dragon appear in your room to talk with you. Doesn't work like that.

As for personal experiences, my ex-husband used to call on dragons for aid in ritual work. He would summon them like you call on the elements for rituals. He gained his knowledge on them from the DJ Conway books on dragon magick. I've personally created a spiritual familiar in the image of a squirrel once and have summoned it to me when I needed magickal aid. I could sense its presence and feel a cool spot when it was near. On astral travel sessions, I've summoned animal totems to my side to ask for wisdom and in these cases it is more like a physical appearance in front of you. Only in those cases it has been like a being that I could see, touch and really communicate with where I could get a reply I could fully understand/hear.

If you are hoping of summoning something physical then no, but if you are trying to summon a spiritual entity then yes(or just energy).

Summoning works if you summon spiritual entities, since they have an ethereal form and can send a small amount of their presence anywhere. Summoning is definitely possible, but if it doesn't work, it either means you did something wrong or the entity didn't want to come. If it doesn't work, consider what you're trying to summon, and check if you'll be able to attract it or if you're just wasting your time

Summoning does work, yes. But that does not mean all the summon spells out there will work. Make sure to really look into what you are wanting to do. Things like this are not a game. It is important to also know what you are attempting to summon.

Working with any spirit or energetic entity can wreak havoc on the mind if you are not prepared. Make sure if you are going to summon something that you also know how to banish it, how to protect yourself, cleanse your surroundings etc.
