As I have said before the good or bad is in the heart of the witch. The three fold rule always catches up with you many claim ways to escape it others claim it a lie. They underestimate it they think the worst that can be done is hell or death. You can't claim upon the three fold rule until you have lived the out come.

The three fold rule comes down to your beliefs and religion.

I agree with Trav and Luzifer. It matters on your intent. Look at it this way, whenever I hurt some one it eats away at my insides. But its really weird.
Examples:
I see some one beatin up a kid way smaller that them (a.k.a. bullying) I beat the crap out of the guy who's beating up the little kid. I don't feel bad at all about doing that.
I hurt some one for no reason, I feel horrible for weeks. It depends on how bad they're hurt how long I feel bad.
In my opinion its the same with magic. -Catty

im sorry power witch but i dont underestimate it, i treat it as i do all religious concepts.

i dont believe any of the religions that contain karma, why should i live by it.

i do good without being scared or guilt-tripped into it.

I agree with White_Rose. In shamanism there is no three fold law. If a shaman was to cast a harmful curse over someone, the only thing he would have to worry about is another shaman reversing it from the victim and back at the caster. Even then, if the shaman is strong enough he can send it right back to the original target or cease the curse all together. The only thing I would worry about in shamanism is other shaman, that is if you were hexing people.

I beleive in the three fold rule.
think about it, if there was no punishment wouldn't there be more witches and warlocks running around cursing and hexing like there's no tommorow? There is also a spell of three folds that was in my grandma's Book of shadows. All it did was speed up the three fold rule.

I think you have to find your own balance, if you believe in the 3 fold rule or not your own balance is what counts.
If there would ever come a '2nd Hitler' and you would curse him and he dies you would save a lots of lifes then but... you would kill someone and you would hurt the people who did care for him... so did you do wrong and are you going to be punished or did you good by saving all those lifes and are you going to be rewarded or is it neutral and is there going to happen nothing...
see it's all about the point of view, you just have to find your own. I hope this doesn't confuse you to much ^^

Lol. I come to find out the points I've been making for months Aenos(sp) made two years ago. Lol.

This is a really get threefold law thread because it shows both sides of the beliefs of if the law works or not.

In my opinion, you can't get slapped by the universe when you have good intent and something bad happens, nor when you do something bad purposefully. It is a bit egotistical to believe the universe cares enough about your actions to slap you.
