i keep hearing in all kinds of places that a witch/wiccan can't be reasoned with. i find this very false. most people on this website are very reasonable and will stick up for their beliefs. i now find that people who use this term are mainly incompitent fools.( no offense to anybody)

I would disagree there Loki. I have found that incompitence is pretty much universal, and evenly spread amongst both pagans and non-pagans. Your religion or beliefs doesn't make you intollerant or opinionated. That would be there no matter what beliefs someone may have.
Now, I will agree that the incompitent ones are the people who make the most noise, therefore you are more aware of them.
Of course, I am not thinking of anyone specific and I mean no disrespect to anyone.

From Personal experience with my own family... i found that the Christians are the hardest to deal with. But this just my experience...
Some are cool, My best friend and an ex BF(we are still friends, and he was catholic!) were ok with me being pagan. They even let me practice with the playing cards, they would ask me questions and i would try and answer them. I knew a Muslim, that was pretty cool about me being pagan.
My mother and people like her on the other hand, is the type to blame all non-Christians on all of the world's issues, even earthquakes. Pagans are even being targeted in other countries.

I would just not bring up beliefs with these people. Some will never understand other beliefs, and you don't need to put yourself in that kind of negativity. Agree to disagree is all you can hope for. Don't let it get you down. We are all human after all. Let them be and have them let you be, when it comes to beliefs. Blessed Be...
