As you've probably heard the Freemasons are a society shrouded in much mysticism that has survived perilous times. To my knowledge, they hold no certain faith as favored. Rather as a path of life, they choose to follow the way of knowledge. One has vaguely described it as "a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols" . Those symbols can be observed in various temples and buildings built by the masons that have become famous for their stunning design.
Nobody can actually say when freemasonry began. However, most are aware that they are one of the oldest shrouded societies around. The trade of being a mason was passed down from father to son etc. and someone would have to be very trusted to be initiated in.
