Magic or Magyk?

Magic: It's what we usually call manipulating matter, minds, & more.

But the truth is, magic is not the true form of manipulating anything. It's called Magyk.

Magyk is what we, magyk users, refer to as tricks, charms, hexes, curses, spells, & more. We are able to look past our common sense... into the Magyk Sense.

The Magyk Sense is the unreal part of you, the part that makes up the dreams... the hopes... & the wishes. That is the part that uses the magyk.

So, what exactly is magic? Well, magic is a form of magyk. It is the trick bit of magyk; how you do Magic Tricks, like what a magician does.

Why do we need to know the difference? If you ever are giving something to the Magyk, & you mean it to be for the whole, & not just Magic, you must know its true name.

What's a true name? A true name is the name that signifies, understands, or connects the object the most. Now, there is the Name, the Light Name, & the True Name. A True Name of anything is kept hidden, until somebody finds it. A Light Name is what you would call a true name... and the Name is the given name for the object.

Magyk. Magic. Names. They are important.

This has been discussed ad infinitum on this site.
The spelling is irrelevant.
The original English spelling was magic. Aleister Crowley started to write the word as "magick" to distinguish what he termed "real magic" from the Stage Magician/Illusionist.
It is the practise of it that counts, not the spelling!

personally i spell it magic unless referring to dragon magick because otherwise my research into the topic brings up fantasy books and games. but personally, it doesn't matter, and it's correct spelling is magic. i have a friend who believes only fluffies spell it with a k, but i honestly don't see the point in the matter.

As stated already: the spelling is irrelevant. Some spell it "magick" to distinguish real practices from the "magic" of a stage "magician", etc. I personally tend to spell it with a "k" for the sheer fact that most of my studies tend to get mixed up with rpg or fantasy if you aren't careful in your sources and spelling.

Magyk is spelled Magick not that way. Magic i believe is when people do magick tricks or illusions on stage and performance. Its really different from actual magick. Magick is study of the occult and spiritualism. Magick takes you on many journeys and you learn a lot about yourself and about spiritualism in general.
