Tarot readers of the world, i need help translating a reading. I did a celtic cross spread on myself for practice and for personal help, and i got a really complex reading. The reading goes as follows.
1. The wheel of fortune
2. The emperor
3. The empress inversed (upside down)
4. The hermit
5. The lovers
6. The star inversed
7. The chariot inversed (invr)
8. The magician invr
9. The tower invr
10.The devil invr.
Please give me a hand with this. I am kinda clueless, i dont know what to make of it. "Please your my only hope" (star wars) hahahahahaha sorry i had to put the quote so it didnt seem like i was depressed or something.
The Wheel, I see as a "wild card" -- since the position is of the issue, it's strange to be put there.
The "crux" of the issue is the Emperor, and that makes more sense since I don't see this as a personality that takes well to things being as unpredictable and out of his hands as the Wheel is.
The Empress is the Emperor's complement, being reversed she could be weakened... could mean, a usually powerful personality is acting unlike herself, being unable to support what she usually could with natural ease.
If we set the cross out the same way (clockwise from the base,) then the Hermit is opposite the Star... both are cards of isolation, or illumination coming from lonely pondering. The Star seems to be "introverted, immediate" reversed, echoing the Hermit, instead of the usual "hopeless" reversal-meaning, or "after a long time" like it would indicate upright.
And the Lovers would be on the same line as the Devil, which is interesting since they are mirrors of each other-- love that begets harmony, versus a romance that is obsessive and destructive. Since the Devil is reversed, it's more like reflections in the water than in a vanity mirror-- and the dualities of both cards speak of the same choice being made in both the near and final future. In a weird way, they seem to be saying to truly be dedicated to something you must learn to let it go.
... if we don't set them out the same way, ignore that :-P
The 4 cards of the Staff (or masculine complement) of the Celtic Cross are all reversals, indicating a lot of negativity, could mean difficulty choosing how to act or when (especially if you're in a leader position) ... Chariot reversed in the position of foundations can mean a failed "soldierly" resolve. The reversed Magican warns of pushovers or passive-aggression... because it's really a subtle kind of manipulation. Tower reversed could mean that the choice between the Lovers and the Devil will come at a time that you considered your peak.
