Are Dreams AP's?
By: / Novice
I've posed this question to people I know who wouldn't say I was crazy or exorcise me for asking (offline, that is... so that's 4...) and each have found the answer certain and obvious -- but, somehow, not unanimous. That means: more sample numbers wanted! Votes and especially posting your reasoning/experience is much appreciated:

Is Dreaming and Astral Projection the same?
[_] Yes
[_] No
[_] Maybe

Personally... the experiences of both have been really very different from each other... I can AP regularly now, but lucid dreams don't get easier for it (if they're the same, it ought to be) -- and I've never had a dream that put me in the physical plane incorporeally like the OBE's do.
But sometimes, I lose my "lockmold" during OBE's -- so even if I always start out in this physical plane only without a body, I see scapes and folks that I recognize from past dreams... have I fallen asleep and gotten to deceiving myself, or phased into the higher astral or different dimension?

Both are the separation of the astral form from the material body. Dreaming is just done unconsciously, AP is when it's consciously done. Lucid dreaming is where you don't leave your body when APing or when you shift from an unconscious projection (dreaming) to a conscious one (astral projection). Going from AP/lucid dream to just dreaming is falling asleep.

I believe dreams are a level of the astral the mind enters without 100% seperation from the physical body.

The dreamscape, to me, is one of the lower levels of the astral.

You can AP from a lucid dream easier, because in a sense you're already nearly there.

OBE and AP is a more direct and concious Push.

Thats what I think anyway ^^

Really cool stuff happens when you don't have to relax the body at all when you AP and dividing your astral form into multiple pieces to travel to different times and places simultaneously.
