A Christian that Hurts By: SullenMoon13 Jul 30, 2011

Hi. I'm a teen Christian and ever since I can remember I've been in love with the Wiccan way of life. Here I am at 16 questioning my family's faith. Deep down in my heart, whenever I listen to Pagan music, I feel this deep, warm sensation of love. But after I go through complete heartbreak. Why is this situation so hard? And now I'm wondering, does anyone have any advice over choosing one of these faiths?
The reason why your body is reacting to the music, is because your brain is in a tough spot. I am not talking in Magick but in Science and human understandings. You are making a hard choice on which path to go on. Either with your family and loved ones or this new path that (for all I know) has no one but future friends.
I have read stories of different people picking to go on the witch side of life and they always said it was never easy when you have been that don't support you. Hell even when my dad was a wiccan when he was a teenager, he never gave me the support.
Overall, only you know which side is better. Being a witch isn't for everyone and the same for the Christian life. A way to make this easier? No, there isn't a sure way to make it easier.

Hey man, i'm a teenage Christian too that studies magick, i dunno about going the Wiccan way of life and religion, I just study White Classified magick for I believe God accepts that in magick. Who needs some family and friends whom do not support you in this? There will be others whom understand, and most likely someone in your family would understand as well. Any advice on choosing the faith? Well, I say, go with what ever feels to be the true most comfort within your heart, if your heart beats happily for Christianity or for Wiccan is up to you, but for me, can't it be both?

You should know that you're not the only one Sullen. Lots of Christians find their "truth" in Wicca. But I see you're not sure about this yet. So, if I were you, I'd do this. Meditate on it. Which religion resonates with you the most? Wicca or Christianity? And why? State the reasons. After you've done that, take a piece of paper , and express your thoughts both on wicca and christianity. Is Wicca for you? Or not? Find some info's on Wicca. See what it's about, do you resonate with that? Read the paper you've written again and again and again... if wicca is for you , you'll know it. Someone said " can't you be both?". Yes you can. Look into Christian Wicca. Also, see what it's about. There are people here who are into Christian wicca.(Check the Christian wicca coven - groups tab). Ask them about it. There are a few concepts that are common in wicca and christianity. Last but not least, you do not have to be wiccan to practice Magick. Hope this helps.

well , if i was in ur place i would just wait ... time shows every thing to u ! All my family where Muslim ... i was Muslim too , but after years of reading books and thinking i just got a point , every where God is Same ! with different faces and different names ... also i found some thing in Muslims Book , God always says "We" like "We made The World in 8 Days" so we can have 2,3 or 100 Gods ! Religion is only a way for life , but u can find it ur self , cant u see the difference between Good and bad ? that is why i dont have a religion , if u want to be part of Wiccan religion to learn magick believe me u dont need to do it at all !
But who am i to tell u what to do !?
this is just what i believe in , nothing more !

I'd research both to see what feels right to you. If in the end, you've given as much thought on it as you possibly can and you still can't decide you can always be both. Just try and read up on as many reliable Wiccan books as you possibly can. The Teen Witch By, Silver Ravenwolf is good and Wicca A Guide For The Solitary Practitioner By, Scott Cunningham is good. I would also read Wicca A Further Guide For The Solitary Practitioner By, Scott Cunningham. I would read The Teen Witch By, Silver Ravenwolf first, because it goes into more detail and the other two books are easier to understand once you've read the first one. I really do hope this helps.

Take some time to ponder within yourself which path is right for you. Only you know what path of life you should walk. Just follow your heart and don't let others dictate the decision for you. You may find that the answers to the biggest questions in life can be found within oneself.
