Childrens games

As a mother, I monitor what my child does and what he is allowed to watch. Apparently, not many parents do so.

I've seen many kids here with grand ideas of who they are and what magick is. Most of it is harmless misinformation and over active imaginations, and given the right information, I believe they will figure it all out.

I have in the past few days seen one to many posts of kids who claim to be the highest of the high, the grandest of the grand.

It makes me wonder...when did this become a game? And where the hell are the parents that they don't notice their children far to involved in a fantasy life. There's nothing wrong with a little fantasy. My 5 year old pretends to be a Power Ranger. The difference is...he KNOWS he's not one.

Sorry, I'm just a little annoyed with the "I am a great such and such. I will eat you. I will kill people who don't agree with me".

I agree 100% with you Healer.I have a 7 year old boy,and while he will be free to make his own choice about the craft,he is not surrounded by it now.He is busy doing what a 7 year old should be doing. While he does spend time on the computer and internet ,already .What he sees and says is strickly monitered.I believe too many parents now dont care what their kids are doing as long as they are not bothering them, and thats a shame, because we end up with these kids that go after attention anywhere,to make up for what they are not getting at home.Just my 2 cents..Peace

I myself have a 7 and 4 year old (both girls), I agree what is fantasy they are at least smart enough to understand the difference between play and reality. Of course my children understand magick far better than most of the people on this site.

Merry Meet all.

Healer you are so right. I often shudder when I see that 10 year olds are posting on the site - most want to be mermaids or the such but as you said they THINK it is real. What is the saying that "a little knowledge is very dangerous"

Is there any way to stop underage kids accessing the site?

I am a great believer that wisdom comes with age - don't bite my head off please!! It is a fact that as you age you go through life experiences that gives you this wisdom. I also know a lot of older people who don't use it too!!!

But yeah its not good that the young ones think they are so good when they have never done any research etc. Magick is not something that you can just jump into. It is a craft that takes time and practise to master and anyone who tells me they can be great without this is not a true magi.

yes this true BUT this site was made (or atlest I thank) it was made for learning so stop arguing with them and gide them. I know If I found this site earler I would have a mutch more deep understanding of the craft. I just one day googled spells then that is when I started doing the craft. then I started chi/psi only casting a few spells a year not knowing what was fake and what is real so I must lern from scratch for you have proven that to me.

We do try to guide them but even people like me who are very patient get frustrated and I need to vent sometimes.

It has always been a game. From the very beginning, I have seen others broadcast lies throughout the forums. In order to guide them, we first must take apart their delusion.

Ya know Jahb...I agree with that completely.

It may seem brutal to poke fun of it, or get cross with someone...but one of three things will happen from it:

1. They figure out it is NOT what they thought, they wish to learn and follow the path of student for life.

2. They go about thinking they are some dark creature of the night and eventually grow up to be that creepy guy people avoid because he's just way to odd, angry and reaks of serial killer to be.

or 3. They figure out that this is not for them. And that is fine to. Blessings on your journey of life, for magick is not the way for everyone.

Most of these people already know they're only human. Most want us to believe they are something special. This mostly stems from a starved social life. They want admiration and respect, so they think it would be easy over the internet.
