For a little while I had a reputation for Beginner. Then, one day it was gone. This upset me a bit, because even though it was only Beginner, at least I was working my way up. It says nothing about this in the FAQs. Is it because I recently joined a coven? Please help.
Perhaps because someone ranked knowledageable ranked you as a beginner but others ranked you lower, thus lowering your repuation. I think this is how a repuation can disappear, I'm not completely sure though.
only a handful of people can rank on this site, and they're busy, so you might of only had that one rank, and the person decided to remove it or change your rank. other option is you were ranked novice, but a bunch of people ranked to fluffy, this would put you at beginner ranking. the person who ranked you novice might of changed the rank and that's why your rank would of changed. i'm not saying you are ranked fluffy, it's just an example. it doesn't matter if you've joined a coven or not, people will see you in chat and forums, if you post helpful knowledgeable responses, your rank should go up. if you post things that are role playing, hateful, or not productive, your rank should go down. as i said though, only certain people can rank, so it's a good bet you only have one or two ranks one person removed their rank.
As I said in the chat the other night, there are only two aspects of reputation that I actually think about: Those people who bother me about their reputation, and those people who don't. haha.
Just stay curious, use common sense, and listen to reason. *shrug*
Here is what you should take from this experience...You are the only one who knows your true level of knowledge and skill, and your opinion of yourself is the only one that should matter.
Like the others have said, it's just a color. Here one day, gone the next. All based on the moods and whims of another.
Just stay true to yourself, always strive to grow and learn because we can never know everything, and help those if you are able.
In the end, that's all you can do. That banner doesn't determine what you know or don't know.
