I use it for a couple of things, once mastered it allows one to breath on an energy level, at this point you can hold your breath under water for almost an hour, depending on how much you can control and maintain mind and body focus, pranayama is also a big help for anyone wanting to learn about or tap their kundalani energy, it's good stuff, also, if you want to see how it is done to some degree in nature watch a snake or very large lizards breathing, it is 4-8 fold breathing which allows the reptile to control it's energy usage as well as control many of it's natural body functions, this is a big one for anyone interested in trying true biokinesis on an energy level. To all who do it keep going, it's good for you ;)

I have been using this type of breathing for over 10 years now. It works wonders for your body, mind and soul. I do not just use it during my yoga practices but also while I do other activities. Using this type of breathing while taking a cleansing bath will help to clear out negative energies from with in all aspects of yourself.

I wonder if this is something i do while meditating... Sometimes i come to realize how unnaturally slow and subtle my breathing processes are, almost non-existent.

You know I do. Lol. I had considered posting some thoughts on this before, but normally to get to it there are four steps before it and that's a lot of posting :P
