I'm quite new to magic as a whole and would like it if someone could help me a bit with learning what it is all about. I first became interested when my mother told me that both my great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother were wiccans and I would like to learn more about the Wiccan faith.
interesting. if you could, you should talk with your grandmother or great-grandmother for help. [sorry if that was an insensitive request, people in my family live long and have kids young, so i know all my great-grandparents and 3 of my grandparents] they would be a great source of wisdom and guidance on your first couple steps.
if your parents are fine with your interest, you should pick up some books on the subject. be careful which author you go with, since there isn't much of a filter on the 'occult' book section. here's some links that can be of use finding information to help you:
remember magick is not like what you see in movies, it cannot go against nature, it is a force used to help us in life. study before actually casting a spell so you know what you're doing, but spell casting shouldn't be the reason why you want to convert.

Witchcraft of course has been around for much longer than that. Wicca and Witchcraft are not the same thing, so perhaps a bit of research on the two paths might help you discover which it is that you truly want to pursue. You might want to start with:
I've been a practicing Wiccan for many years and I'll be happy to try to answer any specific questions you might have about Wicca. For questions and information on traditional Witchcraft I would suggest Brysing as a resource..
