Love Spells--Criticism

I hate this site's love spell section. If a user is going to upload a spell, they should be aware of the fact that you can't affect someones free will.

PS I know that this site is "for entertainment purposes only" but still..

Many forced love spells have been passed around for centuries, there is doubt about it. You can force someone into a spell, of course the ethics of it is all up to what you believe in. Wiccans normally do not do such a thing, on the other hand, there are other practioners from other religions, or not, who have success on these.
They are known to be very powerful. :)Then again, forcing in love; that's a toughie :P

Not all love spells are that way though. Some ask the universe/send out energies into the universe to bring love into their lives.

Its non-specific, non-forcing, and therefore morals of love spells are moot points.

We tell people all the time that it is ill advised to "mess" with someone's free will. Can they do it, well YES it is possible, but it will most likely backfire. I think you should replace the can't in your statement with shouldn't...

I agree with Sekhmet on this one. There are ways of attracting love into your life without forcing someone to do it.

If you have to force someone to do something against their will, it's not love, it's lust. And lust fades over time, and then where will you be? And then there's always that chance that the person you cast the spell on will find out how in the world he fell for you, and how would you explain that? Do you think he would love you more for it?

It's not wrong to desire love in your life, but if you have to make someone love you, you're really not sending a positive image of yourself out there, are you?

There are certain things that we just have to leave in the hands of the Universe. We should look for ways to use magick for the good of all involved, not just to force ourselves on others.

Love spells are any spell that involves love. You can not make someone fall in love with you however you can influence them into thinking that they do. Every magical path deals with love spells because sometimes people need a little help or push in the area of love. Some use it to open new doors, some to close them, and others use love magic to help heal. The problem is when you think of one specific person you want to love you and what you are asking for. Wording in spell work is the number one issue people have that result in a "backfire" or "miss spell". When you cast any spell stay focused on what you want to happen without being too specific because the gods/powers at be are going to be the ones that actually allow what will happen to happen and they love to help us if we are doing something they approve of or not.

kts, how exactly can a love spell backfire?

sorry I'm not kts but I might be able to cover this one. spell backfire = you not being strong enough to handle the spell or its energy and the exact opposite of what you wanted to happen will happen, or you will get your results but in a very unpleasant way. either way, spell backfires are never pretty, but happen to most people when they start you. just a bit of chaos in the beginning but from chaos comes order...
