Fake spells

Hi,
I am just wondering why there are so many fake spells on this site? Flying spells, levitating spells, turning into a vampire etc, didnt think they were allowed since theyre not even close to real magick, dont get me wrong, I find reading them amusing but there are a lot of people out there who are new to the magickal world and ive seen so many replies arguing such spells can be done when they certainly cannot.

Since everyone is put into an automatic council position in the spellcaster's coven, anyone can add spells. Council members within spellcaster's are able to edit punctuation and spelling, and some formatting, but can not delete or otherwise interject or add their own view of another's spell. Editors can also edit these spells if they are publicly able to view.

The only member able to delete such spells is I believe the site administer. Please report any spells which advocate violence, criminal activity or which or otherwise against the site rules.

Unfortunately members do not have the ability to delete spells, and I don't necessarily feel they should.

There are many fake spells on the site yes, as many people are able to contribute spells and articles here.

These spells also are able to bring in funding to the website, so many of them are left for that.

Use your own discretion, you seem like an individual whom may have a great understanding of what is possible.

On summary there are a lot of spells which are not physically possible and very role play related, because everyone had the ability to contribute these to the site.

You are right. There are a lot of nonsense spells on this site. The reason they aren't deleted is that they draw people to the site, and hopefully once here they can learn better. In addition, it brings money in which helps to keep this site on the internet.

I think there are just folks here that have a rich fantasy life and this is a means by which they can express themselves.

That being said I have also seen a good number of posts and profiles from people that are very serious and posses a wealth of knowledge that runs very deep. As a solitary practitioner, living where I live, I am not afforded an opportunity to know many that believe and practice Wicca as I do. I have been bouncing in and out of this site for a couple of years simply reading but have started to understand, and hope, that this could be someplace where I can meet others that are just as serious. If you can see past the frivolous and amusing parts there are some real gems worth finding here. Hope this helps

It is annoying but it’s from certain covens etc that are able to post whatever they want.
I think some themselves generally do believe it even though it’s not physically possible I remember speaking to some years ago and they’re were set in stone that it worked. Hoping people who are new will be able to learn and understand they are fake I wish there was a filter to delete that type of thing.

I look at fake spells like this: Yes, a lot of those spells are physically impossible. Some may be possible, but either improbable or the results won't be what the caster expects. Also, some of the physically impossible spells may be possible on the astral plane instead. At the very least they could be fun things to try in a lucid dream. They could even be used to practice visualization. If nothing else, they're interesting exercises of imagination, and at some point someone is going to try them and realize that they either don't work at all or don't work as expected.
