Wicca and the Goetia
By:

Hi there. I'm Wiccan (solitary and eclectic). I'm greatly interested in exploring magick and want to try to learn every facet of it. I was wondering if I could summon the entities from the Goetia (if ever needed). I am well aware that these entities are nothing close to demons, but am wondering how ethical it would be to actually summon them.

It would be fine for you to do so. They can be very helpful to your path.

when working with the Goetic daemons, consider the approach you plan to take: Do you plan to approach them like you would any other deity, or are you planning to follow the rituals written in the ars goetia and solomonic magick?

If you approach the goetia from the perspective of "these are spirits who were demonized, and as such, not a demon in the sense of a malevolent entity", I'd recommend the first method. In all honesty I'd still recommend the first method regardless due to my time as a practitioner of Demonolatry & Theistic Satanism (NeoWiccan now, much like when I started my path. I went through a period of heavy exploration. I started walking the pagan path in 2013. Also, IMO I wouldn't utilize Solomonic methods as I do NOT follow an abrahamic path, and I find the methods quite disrespectful to these spirits).

Perhaps look into the books written by S.Connolly. Demonolatry and Thesitic Satanism overlap quite a bit, so if Satanic imagery is something you don't resonate with, it may be good to consider why you feel drawn to working with these entities.
