Becoming my higher self

Hey!

My names Joel :D

I was on here in 2015-2016, I took a big break because going down this path at 15 years old alone within a religious family was very difficult and I knew it wasn't my time yet. Although a few events over the past year led me down a spiritual path where I have been in the process of finding my higher self, trying my best to learn about the practices that resonate within me, and being my most authentic self. I remember feeling that wayat 15 years old on this site. I'm excited for what's to come :) and I look forward to discussing a wide array of topics with the members of this site and community.

It may be trying times, but I'm really glad I stumbled on here again.

Blessed Be.

Joel

I wish you the best of luck in your journey.

I noticed that you referred to your 'higher self' and your 'authentic self' separately. Do you view these are separate things or were you just using the terms interchangeably?

Thank you!

My bad -- did not proofread and meant towrite "higher self" just once instead of "authentic self".
Although I do believe there is a great distinction between the two. Higher self-referringto my soul (which I do perceive as the "real" me), and in my opinion, I feel that "authentic self" is a more 3D term referring to somebody'sidentity in this material world.

Thank you for clarifying that. I do not put a lot of effort into my higher self as I feel that the authentic self is what we are meant to work with on this material world.

100%. I personallybelieve a balance of both is important. Your authentic self grounds you down here, and your higher self providing higher wisdomin times of need.
