Lapis Bracelet burning sk

Has anybody heard of an allergy to anything Lapis is comprised of or if there is a spiritual meaning? I was at work today and out of nowhere my lapis bracelet was burning my skin. Even though I've had it a while and I know it's not too tight it left an imprint in my skin.

Is the bracelet made up of nothing but lapis, or are there metallic substances such as metal beads or a metal thread?

I am not aware if lapis itself contains metals. I will quickly look into it here...

I looked into it and there is no evidence to support gemstone allergies. Lapis is made up of a multitude of minerals including one that can be high in sulfur. Sulfur allergies themselves are not supported it seems by evidence.

Is it possible the burning can be attributed to the fabric of the thread the beads are on in some way? How long did you have the bracelet on?

I am sorry I don't have many answers for you.

Perhaps wearing the bracelet for shorter periods of time for a while may relieve the symptoms.
