Herbs and expiring

I have some lavender herbs I bought back in 2015 and was wondering if they're still good to use or if they expired by now.

I would say it entirely depends on how they were stored and what you plan to use them for.

If they have been kept in a cool, dark place in an air tight container, they will likely be fineto use in spellwork and ritual, though I wouldn't suggest using herbs of this age in tea or for consumption unless you can be sure they are safe.

However, if they have been kept in a damp location, in an unsealed container they may not be good to use at all. Scent, colour and texture can help determine how fresh they still are. A grey or brown colour and a very subdued or foul scent, soft and damp to the touch are signs they are bad and should be disposed of.

Keep your herbs in a dry, cold and dark environment.
If they're that old, don't bother using them.

If they have a few weeks of age, you can use them. No problem with that.

But using lavender herbs that old isn't going to do anything with the magic you're going to pratice. They're probably already lost the spiritual energy and the usage validation.
