Its normal now, and I had not run into that problem until the new features. It seems fixed now, thanks Pet!

Thank you for the fix, it works great now and I can see the changes. At the time, it just wouldn't load the page, every other site on my iPad would work fine, but spell of magic just wouldn't load. Now, it works just as great so thank you again for the fix.

I use all three Apple products. On occasion, the screen will show only text and placeholders for the images. After refreshing the page, they will appear normally.

Yeah... its a weird tech thing called HTTP2 PUSH. In short it allows a website to push resources before they are requested. So the code I had would PUSH the CSS and a few other files as soon as the first request comes in (once you visit a 2nd page it assumes you already have the files so it does not push them). The idea is that the style and a few images get downloaded faster this way.

However, it appears as iOS does not recognize a CSS file as CSS when it is pushed, it thinks it is a text file, and so it never applies the stlying. The next page you load, or reload, you now have a cookie and we don't PUSH the files and they get downloaded normally instead.

I have turned the pushing off for the time being. Really its like a 1/10 of a second difference in speed and only effects new visitors the first time they visit the site so its not a big performance hit, but it was nice to have. I've posted in some tech forums about this to see if other people experience the same issue, we'll see what happens.

TLDR; - its fixed

I say it has been improved i just loaded it on my phone (which it is an older modle touch screen.) And loads faster than it did before. before it used to take 2 minutes now it only took 30 seconds.

I noticed the difference today in a positive way. The site loads cleanly now on the Apple devices. That chat feature also benefited. It had a bit of lag to it and would get stuck. Keying certain characters such as an I would force the curser to the bottom of the page. Much improved for those of us using Apple mobile devices.

I see that you recently updated the search engine, and while it's better at getting relevant searches, I've noticed I can no longer do the precise searches that I used to be able to. For instance, typing in my own username and sorting by user profile yields 0 results. Searching the entire site just comes up with every instance of someone using the word "heart". I'd like it so searching my username comes up with all the forum posts I've contributed to. The search engine instead ignores special characters and is no longer case sensitive.

I appreciate your hard work, this is just an issue I've ran into.

Just to add, if anyone is experiencing the same issues I am with the search engine:

If you want to do a specific search to look up user profiles etc, just google search spellsofmagic followed by whatever it is you're looking for, withinspeech marks (" ").

e.g. spellsofmagic"Ashen_Heart"

Google will give you results that includethe specific term in the speech marks.

So you can use this trick if you use the search engine for what I use it for (specific, case sensitive searches), but otherwise the SoM search engine is perfectly fine how it is.

So I've played around with it on my computer, android and apple phone, no real issues. The only thing I've noticed is sometimes replies to comments in the spell section won't appear in the discussion section of the site, but will appear on the specific spell. Otherwise, haven't have any issues with searches or layout.
