Guides won?t talk?

Why do guides talk to some and not others? Mine won’t talk even though I’ve tried everything. I’m a little desperate now. I really want them to help me with my spiritual work. Can anyone help me with this situation? Or Atleast give me an explanation? From what I’ve researched and know they can be very selfish and have egos similar to us humans. If that’s true I hope they don’t see me as just a “job” and actually do care.

In my experience spiritual guides do not have ulterior motives.

I think what is most likely is you do not know how to listen to them, or perhaps you are mistaking something else for a guide.

To clarify, my spiritual guide is more or less a version or aspect of my higher self. Besides that, there are many other spiritual entities that can "guide" you.

Hope this helps, best of luck.

Yes but I have bad experiences with other worldly beings trying to pose of as my guides so I do not want anyone but my assigned regular guides. That’s why I asked for help. I’ve tried everything and they won’t talk to me.

I don't think everyone has spiritual guides. Some people do and some others just have to walk this path by themselves.

Maybe you should try a different approach, working with deities maybe if you feel you need someone to guide you or maybe a more terrenal way, working with a coven.

Some people believe that guides are an aspect of the self. Some people call it the higher conscious, and some call it the 'holy guardian angel' -- again, an aspect of the self, and not an external being. I will reiterate that this is a belief, and does nothing to invalidate others' beliefs or traditions.

Whether a part of one's self, or external entities which come to a person, a guide does not always necessarily communicate in ways a person expects. Sometimes it is the whisper in the back of the mind when a decision is at hand. Sometimes it is a sign, however subtle. Sometimes, some believe, a guide stands back to see what the person may choose.

Either way, a guide expresses one thing: A person's true will. True will is not, "I want a better job," it's the direction in life for spiritual development, however that is expressed by a tradition. This is one of the reasons people will say that spirits, whether they are guides or completely external entities, have different priorities that people. Most people's concerns are things like a better job, stretching income to meet bills and savings needs, whether that new attractive person at work took notice of them. These things are worldly desires. While there is nothing wrong with them, they have little to do with true will. However, a guide might intervene if a worldly desire directly interferes with one's true will.

This is why learning to communicate with one's true will is very important. It takes time, practice, dedication, and meditation. The same method does not work for everyone. Some people seek insight with tarot, and find no success with a pendulum, self-guided visualization, pathwalking, or astral projection. Some people excel at pathwalking, seeing a representation of their guide almost immediately, and are able to communicate. Some people see messages in a dropped feather or the shape of a cloud. Some others take time, and hours of deep contemplation quiet the mind until one small voice remains.
