i hope to do a full circle ritual but i'm tired and don't know if i have enough energy for the full thing with all the bells and whistles, but i do celebrate the day. [and i'm in the northern hemisphere so i will be celebrating Litha not Yule] i woke up and greeted the day [i do that every day technically, but i ended it with 'blessed Litha'] i then cleaned and rearranged my altar, and offered a salad to my deities. i had a cup of tea and sat outside to relax/wake up slowly. later i went inside, lit some incense and a candle and did a few sun salutations. i'll meditate later on, and when the sun is at it's peak i will be holding space [could be a full circle, could just be standing outside giving thanks. haven't decided yet] i am also planning to cast a spell tapping into the energy of the day. i'm also dressing in Litha colours to charge more of the energy into my life today.
point is, you might not do a full ritual thing, but you can do little things to remind yourself throughout the day. blessed Litha to you [and Merry Yule to anyone celebrate that today]
I enjoy the day by my pet's getting me up and reminding me that today is a very special day. I will clean and cleans my stones with the power of the sun today and say thank you to mother nature. I'm just going to plant and get yard work done for today and be happy in the sun and make a bonfire for the day and then later just sit and watch the sun set.
I like that Engwald. I ended up having a glass of wine, enjoying the beautiful sunset, and lit some torches outside of my porch. It was a beautiful night. I didn't perform any ritual, but I meditated upon a special incantation when I saw outside. :)
I made small cakes and shared them. I served them with Brandy. I burned a small fire, danced and chanted, meditated, and gave love and reverence to my primary Goddess Diana (protector of forest animal (yet also hunter) - and Moon Goddess. I chose to do my rituals at night - tonight (June 22). I wanted to gain power from the moon - especially on the longest night of the year! I also burned "summer" candles, blessed some lemon grass (from my garden) and then made tea with it.
This year, I stayed outside for pretty much half the day (I usually like to stay inside, but certain celebrations are exceptions), I left a nice offering in the park, and I spent some time reciting poems written in my BOS.
