Hi there I have been going through a difficult time since my separation with my ex but has finally gained my confidence and self love again enough to try and love again and find the right person. But I'm not sure how I should go about my spell to find new love so that I won't end up with the wrong person or someone who's just going to hurt me again. Is there anything I can do to help prevent that or even a specific spell that could be listed. I also fear it may not work as sometimes my spells don't work especially when it's to do with love for some reason even though I have been practicing for a few years and many other spells work at ease. In this case, I'm not sure how to avoid someone hurting you again, because people do have free will and they will exercise it as they please. If it doesn't work out it just doesn't. That's life. But there are spells that could help draw your next love to you or make you more inviting. I don't work love magic as I don't feel the need to, but if you ever feel your self-confidence diminished, or you need a boost I can offer you this from one of my favorite books, The Good Witch's Guide , By Shawn Robbins and Charity Bedell :
Materials:
Body lotion
Any beauty supplies you use regularly
Ritual:
Sit on the floor or on your bed in a comfortable position and surround yourself with all of your products. Imagine these products are covered in a pink light. Slowly start to run your hands over your body from your feet to your head. As you connect to yourbody, start the chant:
"Love within, love without, I love myself without a doubt."
After a while, you should start to feel the pink light become part of your body. At this point, begin to apply the lotion and complete the chant. As you smooth the lotion over your skin, visualize the pink light entering you through your pores. When you have covered yourbody from head to toe, stand up and speak loudly:
"I am loved."
Get ready for the day as you normally would. If at any time in the future you begin to feel less confident or a little down, use the same lotion and repeat the above procedure. Any other products used in the spell can also be used. To keep the items charged repeat once a month, preferably under the new moon for growth.
