a concern

From seeing the site, I thought this is where people would come together and discuss about witchcraft and witches to come speak to one another. but I seem to get more messages regarding I am a female and all these weird fantasies these people are having of me. Maybe it is my fault for having a photo of myself, but I have only been able to speak to a very select few that are about the site more than some trying to hit on/ flirt with me?

I am wondering how common this is on here

its happened to me a lot on here when I use female idols as my icon so I just use flowers instead now.
I often don't like to use my real face because people will threaten to curse me and they don't need to see my photo or use it for bad intentions .

I think it's just a few creeps who notice you in the "members online" thingy but a lot of people are actually decent here and genuinely care about magic and the different arts. !!
Well you are pretty and I love your makeup but yeah it can get annoying after awhile, just block them or ignore the messages, if they get persistent then it's probably best to report that to an admin. but no worries, you can find actual normal people who want to help you, I don't let a few bad apples ruin my experience or I surf the site logged out so I can read rituals and spells in peace

I might just change my photo, it will be the safer option I believe.

[i've heard this a lot recently which makes me sad] this is suppose to be a community of various pagans discussing various pagan things. unfortunately you also get your share of scammers, trolls, and pervs. block the person, leave the letter in your default messages and message Petrarca about the person. he will look into it [read the email you have saved for evidence] then act accordingly. he's very quick in these matters, so it will be dealt with in 24 hours or less.

I have seen this as a reoccurring problem with people and, maybe it is because I am new, but I haven't had this happening to me (also because I don't have a picture of myself, and I am rather young, so yes). And I am really sorry this is happening to you and others. It honestly disgusts me that people decide to come onto a religious site to hit on young women. It's repulsive! Would they walk into a mosque/church/synagogue or other places of worship, and start flirting with women there? I'm truly sorry, and I hope you can find a way to get rid of these idiots. I suggest blocking them, changing your icon (though you don't have to, express yourself!), or just ignoring them. Talking with others can also help (again, express yourself!). Please keep in mind this site is for magick. Hence the name, Spells of Magic. Because magick is done in many different religious traditions, it is also included. But at it's core this is a magick site. Not a church or a temple. However, that sort of behavior is still deplorable and unacceptable. This is not a dating site. If anyone, regardless of gender sends you romantic or lewd requests, please save the mail and report it to the Admin Pet right away! He is very quick and takes these issues very seriously.

Also, it is good to know it is not your fault for those whom cannot control themselves. You are not responsible for other peoples actions! If you want to post a picture of yourself, you have every right to do so. Not posting one will likely decrease the amount you get propisitioned. Though this may be the case as the end result, no blame should be placed on people who are being harassed.
