No crossroads?
By:
Hello!

Basically, I worship the Pomba Gira, and as I've read they like their offerings at crossroads in shape of a "T", but I don't live near any "T" crossroads. :( I feel bad.

In this case, is it acceptable to offer inside my home? (I have an altar made for her.)
Or should I try to find a crossroad?

Thank you for reading and replying, and have a nice day. ^-^

An Altar should work just fine :)

I think that an altar should work too, but I have read about symbolic crossroads that you make to dispose of things in cases like yours.

Basically, you should draw an "x", or in your case a "T", with chalk, cornmeal, or the material you feel works better for your needs and dispose of your ritual remains or offerings in there. You should have in mind that the nature of the ritual may be affected differently regarding where you draw your artificial crossroad. For instance, if you are making a ritual to get someone out of your life, it would be ideal to make the artificial crossroad somewhere you are not likely to return to. If you are just making an offering you could place the artificial crossroad and offering in your altar or in your backyard.

So you live inside a perfect grid. That grid has an edge. If you wish to find an actual crossroads, look to the end of the grid.

I had a perfect crossroad at my previous home, just a walk down the block, then I realized when the "critter" came to eat the offering it could be hit by a car, so after that realization I put my offerings under the big tree I my back yard. If the offerings aren't food, your Altar is fine.

Sounds like you would need to create an altar as a substitute, and draw out a symbolic "T". I would say make an offering outside and carve the "T" or "X" in dirt or on a dirt road.

Just remember, its all about intention and showing your respect.
