You're really the only person that can answer that. What might just be words to us, could have more meaning to you.

My advice, write them down, look over them, and see what you think they could mean. Do the words of this chant hold any special significance to you?

I don't really know. The chant is...

"May words of peace forevermore
Bring sorrow to the sighters fore
These words of peace, shall haunt you more".

I don't get it but it's really freaking me out now.

if you have no energy behind it no. say it's just something you want to remember, it won't cast a spell. if you're upset with someone, think about them getting hurt while saying the chant, then it's possible. though some people feel constantly reminding yourself of a spell can undo the work, so really you should reflect on your own path and ask yourself what you feel is right.

I think it is important here to note with the previous comment that people do not have to be 'seers' in order to receive visions- as individuals can go out of their way to retrieve the same information using alternatives without having any clairvoyant/augur extrasensory 'abilities' or perceptions. As well as that a majority of humans have precognition in their dreams and when experiencing heightened consciousness.

Being said, I personally believe that there is some sort of psychological attachment you have to the chant- mainly due to its very prevalent rhyming scheme. Like most songs, poems, or other works, we seem to not be able to "get them out of our head" due to a little thing called mnemonics. Mnemonics (why you memorize/ are fixated with it) and the triplet rhyme [forevermore, fore, more] by whomever wrote the chant (how you memorize it and why it is possibly so intriguing).

This is arguably why some practitioners prefer to write their spells/chants/rites in rhyming patterns and schemes- for memorization and possible fixation of the mind.
