Just introducing me

Hello I'm just starting on my studies and would like to know of a book or books that I can read on the basics. I'm new to the site. In the early 1800s my great x5 grandparents on my dad's side eloped from Ireland and settled in Georgia. I feel a strong Celtic affinity. My great x2 grandmother on my moms side was full blood Cherokee. I was told that she never cut her hair and that it dragged on the ground behind her. I think that's where my dreaming and dream walking comes from.

If you're looking for a great book to give you the basics of magic I would suggest "Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig.

I read your profile and want to thank you for your service. I to served in the 82nd airborne infantry. I joined because of 911 and served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thank you for the advice I ordered the book and also ordered spirit of the Witch: Religion & Spirituality in Contemporary Witchcraft, by Raven Grimassi and The Inner Temple of Witchcraft: Magick, Meditation & Psychic Development, by Christopher Penczak.
