If you flip through the forums, there is usually a sticky at the top that gives beginner info.
There are also covens that specialize in different areas that you may look at under the groups tab. Remember to read carefully as I don't believe all of them accept beginners.

The below is a link to the survival guide of the site. I don't agree with the definition of fluff, I usually call conceited people either arrogant or conceited and use fluff to describe a role player, but too each there own.
