To add to what has been said, I've personally found that flashcards (each written in a different color ink) can help you better study for tests. This particular method was taught to me by one of my high school English teachers and has helped me on into college as well. Perhaps you could try something like this while studying, it may help you as well.
In my research on herbs, I've found that rosemary tea is also believed to help with memory, though drinking too much of it can irritate the lining of the stomach. Burning the incense while studying is said to help memorize the material for tests, as is carrying the sprigs with you in your pocket on test day.

My major advice to you is to write better on this exam ,than what you are showing, here .Writing is like studying ,if you can not be bothered to write, you probably are not bothered to study either .Choosing short cuts is not always the best way to go around .Follow what you have been adviced and start studying .
i know a simple one where you study with a quartz crystal on the book. each time you read a pace, place it on the page, and at night when you stop, rest the crystal on the book. come exam day, carry the crystal with you. if possible, place it on the test paper, if not, leave it in your pocket. when you get stuck, hold the crystal. i've done this before a few times and it worked. it's more of a way to help you remember.
What I do that helps me, is use m&ms. I open my textbook and place an m&m at the end of each paragraph, If I can remember something from the paragraph, I get the m&m! If I don't then I re-read the paragraph. Then on exam day I bring a bag of m&ms with me and it helps me remember. Its not exactly a spell but maybe it could help ^^
